Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup salsa con queso
- 3 8-inch flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
Instructions
- Brown and crumble the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease.
- Add the taco seasoning and water. Follow the cooking directions on the seasoning packet.
- Stir in the salsa con queso once the taco meat is ready.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray an 8-inch round baking pan with nonstick spray.
- Layer the ingredients starting with a tortilla, then 1/3 of the taco filling, and 1/3 of the cheese. Repeat these layers and finish with cheese on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown.
- Allow it to cool for a couple of minutes, then slice and serve with your desired toppings.
Notes
For extra flavor, add diced bell peppers or onions to the ground beef. Use a mix of different cheeses for a unique taste. Can be made vegetarian by substituting ground beef with black beans or lentils.
